An Owner’s Immersive Experience

Not your average private lessons!

This is a unique and in-depth spin on traditional ‘private lessons’. You and your dog will be fully immersed in balanced training with Sammi as your guide! This program is built so that we are able to dive further into dog training and human education, rather than just skim the surface with basic obedience. In this program, we will address your dog’s state of mind (goodbye anxiety and over-arousal!!), strengthen your relationship with your dog, and do some self-reflection and learning for the human end of the leash. We will work one-on-one, for you to successfully learn the skills to live the life you’ve always imagined with your dog by your side!

How is the program structured?

There will be 6, 2-3 hour long lessons at Sammi’s location with the possibility of later lessons being off-site, depending on your specific goals. Your program will be customized to your specific goals with your dog. Lessons will be one time per week during standard business hours.

What will we Be Able to Tackle?:

leash manners
calm state of mind
polite public outings
minor reactivity and overexcitement
car manners
house manners
off-leash freedom
proper use of tools including prong collar, ecollar, muzzle, crate, etc.

optional: grooming manners including brushing, body handling/massage, and nails

Requirements for participation

You must be willing and able to complete all homework assignments in a timely fashion. Lessons will build off each other and it is paramount that you’re able to complete the work in between our sessions together.
You must be able to commit to the lesson schedule (6 lessons, 1 per week, 2-3 hours each lesson).
You must be open minded, and come prepared and willing to learn each day! We will also be working outside, so come dressed appropriately for active work in all weather.
You must be ready to work through the messy moments. (Don’t worry, I’ll be right there with you for support!)

*Please note: This is not a program for dogs with severe reactivity, resource guarding, or any level of aggression. If you have questions about whether this program is for you, reach out!

Optional Grooming Add-On

We will spend a portion of our sessions addressing safe grooming and handling practices. This is great for dogs who struggle with brushing, nail trims, and vet handling. Muzzle training may be required. Please note that the grooming add-on will not address teeth brushing.
